Preventative Care

At Storts Family Dentistry, we want to do everything we can to keep your teeth as healthy as possible. The primary way in which we do this is through regular dental hygiene appointments, checkups, and preventative programs twice per year. Our preventive program is a cooperative effort by the patient, dentist, and dental staff to preserve the teeth’s natural dentition and supporting structures for a life-long healthy, beautiful smile. We combine a few simple preventative measures to assist in keeping the onset, progress, and recurrence of dental diseases and conditions at bay.

When you come in bi-yearly, one of our dental hygienists will clean your teeth. While your personal brushing and flossing are essential, bi-yearly hygiene appointments will remove any hard-to-reach plaque, tartar, or tooth decay that can eventually cause dental disease such as gingivitis. One of our dentists will give you the exam, checking to make sure your teeth are in top shape and you are not developing any oral health issues. We also take routine X-rays, which our dentists use to spot problems that may not be visible during your surface exam and to become familiar with the structure of your mouth.

In addition to this, we offer gum disease therapy for anyone who has developed gingivitis or periodontitis and regular oral cancer screenings to catch any early signs of cancer and prevent it from progressing.

I went to them after a traumatic experience at a different dentist following extractions. They were so kind and helped me feel better. I cannot thank Dr. Storts amazing office and Dr. Jesse Storts himself enough. Seriously made me feel validated and heard. Like I wasn’t being crazy or they had no idea what was wrong with me. We are kinda new to the Love County area and needed to get my son in for a toothache, and not knowing really anyone, I took to google and this was the first place I saw, and it's not far from the house. They got my son in quickly and were super friendly. While my son was super nervous, they were super friendly took the time to talk to him and I. Storts in Marietta is the Absolute best ever. We had trouble with getting seen as new patients they didn't hesitate when we called. Also accepts delta dental from the Chickasaw nation so now all members of our household are seen there. The ladies up front are very sweet, nice, and professional. The dentist and hygienists are very caring and understanding. Would recommend anyone to go there.
